Revolutionising Community Health & Wellbeing: How Mundaly Makes It Easy

Communities know their problems best, so it would be ..

The last few weeks, we’ve highlighted Global Health and why it is a pillar of Mundaly’s values and at the core of our mission.

Today, we want to extrapolate more on how we focus on Global health through our platform to champion community well-being. One of the ways that Mundaly does this is through making sure that organisations can easily take into consideration the communities that they are involved in through easy surveying.

Mundaly knows that it takes a lot of time and money to do thorough community due diligence. Through using our platform, this process of gaining community involvement can be achieved in a seamless and cost-effective manner. After using our platform, the community's well-being can then be measured using the above measurement framework.

Definition of Global Health

As Mundaly prides itself on our commitment to community well-being, it is first important to understand how community well-being relates to Global health.

The definition of Global Health is a branch of sciences focused primarily on the medical and health issues with global impact or can be effectively addressed through global solutions. The goal of global health science is to understand global medical and health issues and develop global solutions and implications.” In developing global solutions to the most pressing health issues, it is vital to start with community minded solutions. Community well-being includes considering “the combination of social, economic, environmental, cultural, and political conditions identified by individuals and their communities as essential for them to flourish and fulfil their potential.

Every community has differing needs, especially when it comes to healthcare, while community-focused solutions might not seem Global, acknowledging that each community has valuable insights into their needs and possesses knowledge that can contribute to innovative solutions is crucial.

Communities know their problems best, so it would be in the best interest of any organisation that is present in the community to consult them. This approach involves consulting the community to see what their most pressing needs are. There are also so many aspects of life that determine whether or not someone can have good health. Some of these include access to healthcare, basic education on chronic and infectious illness and socio-economic status.

If one wishes to increase the health of a population they need to do more than introduce a new healthcare clinic to the area. Community members also need to know that it’s there, what services they have and be able to afford them. While it is good business to consult community members when a project impacts them, organisations can potentially save money by using our platform to solicit input from the community instead of using their own time and resources to do so.
